Project Scope
This project was a quick and easy setup for a friend of mine.
Matt Bernard is a decorated soldier who was wounded twice in Iraq. The recipient of many commendations to include two Purple Hearts. He was evacuated from the battle fields of Iraq and within a few weeks he was discharged from active duty. He was sent home with the intention of being seen, evaluated, and treated by the VA. No one called him! In fact no one knew he was home. He spent the next few months in his house waiting for that call. Still licking his wounds, his experience with the VA began months later. It took nearly a year before he would be completely evaluated and receive any disability treatment.
Matt is currently in the process of filming his documentary to raise awareness of the need for change in how the VA operates.
